That’s right – just in time for Halloween, you can have your very own murderous Facebook stalker terrorize you.
Well, sort of.
The folks behind the oddly named TakeThisLollipop.com has a Facebook app which once you grant permission, scans your Facebook profile to insert your personal photos, info, location, etc. into a well produced 2 minute video.
An incredibly disturbed man is surfing YOUR Facebook profile and getting VERY agitated – sort of like David Shrek viewing a video of Premier Christy Clark (oh, I kid). After a while, he uses Google Maps to track you down and he seemingly is coming to kill you. Fun!
This app further feeds into our need to be wanted – to be the centre of attention. I see this sort of thing leading to more personalized videos, TV shows and even advertisements where our personal online data is used for fictional displays of our favourite characters – ourselves and our friends. Sort of a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book for the 21st Century.

So enjoy, but I would suggest once you have played with the app a few times to remove it as it does have a fairly high level of access. Plus, may save you from being murdered.
