So proud of my friend, BC’s Premier Christy Clark, on her victory tonight in winning her Vancouver – Point Grey byelection. For the first time in 30 years, a member of the sitting government in British Columbia won a byelection.
Yes, it was a close one with only 500 votes giving her the victory but no matter, a win is a win.
Now Christy can truly get down to business and build on the great things she has already done in the less than two months as Premier. Things likes raising the minimum wage; creating Canada’s toughest animal anti-cruelty laws; bringing forward the HST referendum date and providing funding for anti-smoking aids are just some of things Christy as already accomplished.
So far…so awesome.
