Finished up an interview on Victoria, BC’s radio station 1070am CFAX to discuss the British Columbia Medical Association’s (BCMA) call for a ban on MMA in Canada.
I was delighted to learn I would speak, then be on with the doctor. Well, that did not quite happen but Dr. Gillespie was on after my segment where he admitted his group did no consultation with the MMA community and all but said the rate of injury in Mixed Martial Arts is not higher than other sports but they feel it is therefore asking for the ban.
Yes, I have taken some creative license with this summary, but far less than the BCMA did with their call for a ban.
