I spent a couple of hours today at the annual Rivers and Trails Festival. It was a beautiful day with sunny skies and the temperature around 24 Celsius. Lots of great music, various environmental displays and folks who wanted to talk about PoCo politics.
I had great conversations with people on the issue of bears in the community, the need for more parks, keeping our environment clean and many residents who offered their support after hearing my interview on CKNW.
Meeting people face-to-face is a great way to get a better understanding of what is truly important. I will have more to write on some more issues in the coming days.
To all the volunteers who put on the festival – thanks!
