I have been working with the Tri-Cities Homelessness Task Force for over a year now and the work they are doing to build a better future for the less fortunate in our community - and in our region – is amazing.
The latest endeavor is the Cold Wet Weather Mat Program. The CWW Mat Program uses the space in one of six churches in the Tri-Cities for a month at at time. In order for the program to work it has to passing zoning by the Cities and have the support of the community.
To that end, I am helping to organize and facilitate an information session in Port Coquitlam on November 15th.  This way misconceptions on the program can be addressed and questions answered. There is nothing worse than something new coming into our community without having the answers known. This meeting will solve that problem.
For more information visit www.dave.ca/matprogram/ which has the date, time, location of the meeting and some other links of interest.
