Being on the Tri-Cities Crystal Meth Task Force I hear over and over again that there is “no Meth problem in Port Moody“. These folks have their heads lodged deeply in their…denial.
The caption for the photo to the left in today’s Tri-City News reads:
“Police and hazardous materials crews responded to the discovery of a suspected illicit meth lab yesterday afternoon in Port Moody. Cops found the lab after PoMo firefighters were reportedly refused access to a room at a business they were inspecting.”
Regretably, Crystal Meth is a growing problem in the Tri-Cities and for folks to say “it ain’t happening in my town” is wrong. This is a regional problem requiring co-operation and co-ordination from the Tri-Cities. Hopefully this is a wake-up call and hopefully someone from PoMo will join the representatives from Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam at upcoming task force meetings.
